At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to work on our hyerpscale Data centre in Groningen.
Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Planner will be responsible for all aspects of Planning and Scheduling on a project including execution of the schedule from commencement to completion of works. In addition, the Senior Planner will be responsible for the establishment & implementation of Dornan's standard Project Controls Procedures & Systems applicable to the project scope, and any client specified planning related deliverables.
Your day to day will include:
Managing and leading a team of Planners, including graduates
Ensuring team is structured and roles & responsibilities are clearly defined
Project Planning using Primavera P6 or ASTA PowerProject
Using Software like Excel, Power BI & Bluebeam to producing day to day deliverables
Develop Pre-Construction, Construction and Commissioning Program's as part of the Dornan project team.
Ensure Site walks are caried out on a weekly basis to ensure the Senior planner is familiar with the projects progress. This may include Openspace 360 camera surveys capturing site progress
And all other daily tasks to be outlined in the interview...
What we are looking for:
Proficient in Primavera P6
Proven track record in the construction industry in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems
Very strong excel skills and Power BI is advantageous however not essential
Strong communicator with the ability to gather information from multidisciplinary teams to manage progress on the project
