I joined Dornan as a Graduate Planner in 2015 and have progressed through various roles to my current position as Planning Manager, overseeing multiple projects across Europe. Dornan has supported my development with numerous courses in project controls and management, which have been instrumental in my career growth. The Project Controls team here is second to none, providing exceptional support at every stage of a planner’s career. After 10 years, I can confidently say Dornan offers an environment where hard work and ambition are truly rewarded

I started with Dornan 15 years ago, and during that time I’ve had the chance to work across many areas of the business. My role as a Corporate Administrator has involved everything from commercial support and events to business development through tendering and presentations. Every day is different, which makes the work both interesting and rewarding. I’ve been part of the same team throughout, and together we’ve seen the company grow from €40 million to €2 billion in project scale. Over the years, I’ve also been involved in travel coordination, pre-qualification processes, and even supporting marketing initiatives, which has given me a broad understanding of the business. 25 years working for Dornan has seen my career progress from electrician, to site lead to quality engineer & training coordinator. Electrical Estimator

My journey in the M&E Contracting Industry has taken me from an Electrical Apprentice to a qualified Electrician and finally progressed to an Electrical Estimator. Working as an electrical estimator has strengthened my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and understanding of project scope and cost control. I take pride in producing accurate estimates that support successful bidding and smooth project execution. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers has made the role both challenging and rewarding, and it has deepened my knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes. I joined Dornan in 2013 and from the very start felt at home here. I have been exposed to some of the biggest contracts in this industry and gained invaluable experience during my time here.

I made the move to Dornan in May 2023, since then I have been working as part of a great team on several projects. My current role as Pre-construction lead engineer allows me to use my experience from site, and also lean on the many people in Dornan with life long experience. With several different interesting and fast- paced projects, there is always room for more growth and learning at Dornan.

Since returning to Ireland in 2016, I have worked with Tier 1 construction companies. Following the achievement of my Chartership and the completion of my degree, I joined Dornan in mid-2024, as CSA Lead. I appreciate the opportunity to work on a diverse selection of projects, collaborate with hard-working and dedicated colleagues, and travel across Europe. With Turner on the horizon, I am excited about the extensive CSA possibilities and look forward to further developing my career within Dornan.
